We got to visit our new little nephew this weekend when he was just ten hours old! From what we have heard, his mama did an amazing job... two full days of pitocin with no other drugs, and when labor finally started in earnest on the third day, she was able to give birth naturally in less than seven hours. Pretty impressive!
So of course we went to see them as soon as we could. It was also our inaugural voyage in our "new" Dodge Caravan, and thus the day held all kinds of excitement for our children. After breaking in the vehicle with two bags of popcorn from the tire store, four new studded tires that cost more than the minivan itself, one huge bag of spilled pretzels, and five consecutive hours in the minivan, we finally made it to our destination and got to meet the little man. Here are some pictures of our visit with darling little Austin Wyatt!

(it really discouraged him to have to wear it, poor little guy)
eventually Rilla had to wear a cough protector too,
which somewhat helped Abraham to be less discouraged about his own
