"and all the chaos comes together in Your hands"

I archived all my old Xanga blog posts a few years ago, and this weekend I tried to figure out a way to get them printed. I didn't figure it out yet, but I did enjoy skimming some of the old posts. Five years of chronicling our life story! It's really quite a record. Most surprising to me was how much my writing style has changed. I don't think it's for the better. And all those comments from friends! It really made me miss the old blogring interaction.

I had more to write tonight and was hoping to try writing more in that old style... it just seems so much friendlier and more easy-going somehow... but my strength is sapped. I did hear an encouraging song at just the right time tonight though and wanted to share a bit of it. I hadn't heard it before.

from "Already There" by Casting Crowns

From where I'm standing
Lord it's so hard for me to see
Where this is going
And where You're leading me
I wish I knew how
All my fears and all my questions
Are gonna play out
In a world I can't control

When I'm lost in the mystery
To You my future is a memory
Cause You're already there
You're already there
Standing at the end of my life
Waiting on the other side
And You're already there
You're already there

From where You're standing
Lord, You see a grand design
That You imagined
When You breathed me into life
And all the chaos
Comes together in Your hands
Like a masterpiece
Of Your picture perfect plan

One day I'll stand before You
And look back on the life I've lived
I can't wait to enjoy the view
And see how all the pieces fit
