Priscilla at approximately five months
Abraham at approximately one month
Ezekiel at exactly six months
I wish I could find some pictures of them doing the exact same thing at the exact same age, because I do think there are a lot of similarities! I love seeing our children grow and develop. Not just physically, of course, but the physical is a great part of it all. Even just the differences in hair and eye color are so creative. Rilla's and Abe's hair colors are exactly the same, what I like to call the color of ripe wheat. (Rilla's only one pound heavier and three inches taller than Abraham now, and I am often asked if they are twins.) Zekie's hair, though, is reddish brown. I think he looks a bit more like my baby pictures than the other two did. Priscilla's eyes are a lovely light blue, Abraham's are a deep hazelish brown color with green tints, and Ezekiel's are a bright, striking medium blue. Of course, I like to marvel at everything from their hairlines to their pinky toes, but I'll spare you from excessive details. Suffice it to say that I have checked them out thoroughly and can vouch that they are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made!
I haven't been taking many pictures in the last month, largely because our external hard drive is being funky again and I don't have room left on my camera's memory card. But also because I just need all the time I can get relishing these days and moments. Here are a few more self-pics that I took with Ezekiel yesterday on the computer, though. Just because I think he's adorable...
sweet baby boy with the big blue eyes
and a picture of that nice full head of hair
Ezekiel has a beautiful smile and I just love him so much. He fits so cozily on my hip or in the frontpack and when he's not scooting around on the floor, he's always in my arms. He rolls over so well and I am so impressed every time! Rilla and Abraham each rolled over maybe five times ever. He rolls over more than that in five minutes, and so I am completely in awe of that skill. He's figuring out how to move a bit more every day, and it is so fun. He loves watching Rilla and Abraham and gets so excited when they come over to talk to him and play with him. He's been saying "Mama" from three or four months old. Whenever I'm not there fast enough and he needs me, he just calls out "Maamaa!" and I come running! I snuggle him to sleep many times during the day and then snuggle with him all night too. He's absolutely darling and I love him so much!
they are all so cute! I loved that age so much. Ezekiel doesn't look at all like the others to me, and I think it's because the shape of his eyes are so drastically different from Rilla and Abraham's.
