a walk in spring

I love spring so much. The green, the rain, the snow, the crazy weather fluctuations, the dainty wildflowers, the flocks of geese on the flooded river... I love it all. I am grinning every day because this is so, so, so much my favorite time of year.

We went for a walk to enjoy the warm weather and to test how Ezekiel would take to the stroller. He didn't take to his first trip all that well... he lasted about a minute, and then I carried him in the frontpack the rest of the way... but I am happy with how Rilla is doing on her run bike. I think that our walks are going to be slow and short for a while, but at least we can all go together.

Keith found a little garter snake to show the kids. I am so glad that he takes the time to show them snakes and bugs. I want them to be interested in such things and not afraid of them, but I'm really glad not to be the one to have to do the showing and telling.
