Guess who's walking!

Our little Abraham is eighteen months old today. He decided to begin walking last Friday, when Keith was unexpectedly home from work and I was unexpectedly home from moms' group. It was wonderful! He began walking back and forth between Keith and me and kept it up for a good twenty minutes. Today, for the first time ever, he walked more than he crawled, even walking around and sweeping the kitchen with a broom for a good fifteen minutes or so. Yay, Abraham!!! This is going to make life a lot more fun for both of us, I just know it!

We took some family pictures yesterday in an attempt to get all four of us in one photo for a Christmas card. There were some really fun ones that I can't upload yet (having external hard drive issues again, aka "I still can't figure out my Mac" issues) but here are a few.

It was a bit challenging to get Abraham to stand still, what with his newfound walking ability and all, so I think our Christmas card picture will be one that has with his shirt hoisted up like this. Oh well. All four of us in one picture... that seems pretty amazing to me!

And here I am looking pregnant and slightly confused or annoyed or something. Probably that is how I look most of the time. I'm 23 weeks pregnant, by the way. I'm feeling the baby more and more all the time and I love it. And yes I know that I look much further along than I am. I am gaining weight faster than I ever have before, and my placenta is in front, and I am waddling already because it is just more comfortable, so... yeah. I know I look big. It's because I am.

I guess that's really all I have to say. I'm just so excited that Abraham is WALKING! Of course we knew he would eventually and all but it has been such a bummer for him not to be able to walk outside during these last six months of good weather... as in, it has especially been a bummer for me, and I'm sure he would have both enjoyed it much more if he was walking! But he's walking now, which is the really wonderful thing. I'm very happy about it!

  1. Yay for Abraham and the pictures! You are very cute pregnant lady, by the way! Some babies just carry bigger than others; I am going to have to find a picture to show you of when I was pregnant with Joshua! I was HUGE, but he was our smallest baby! (You will feel tiny when you see my picture...hehe!)
