family reunion, day eight

We were supposed to return home to the frozen tundra of Spokane tonight, but our first flight of the afternoon was delayed. So we are living it up in Raleigh instead! That is, we are living it up as much as you can when you are car-less and dragging around all the luggage that we are dragging around. But we do have a sweet hotel to stay in, gift vouchers that paid for most of our dinner, and some good credits toward our next flights on Delta. I must say that Delta has treated us very well on this trip!

And none of us mind a bit - in fact, it's a huge relief - that we'll be arriving in Spokane late tomorrow afternoon instead of in the middle of the night tonight. As much as I have been ready to get home, I am totally enjoying this evening of relaxing before the noisy plane ride home tomorrow. I think God knew that we needed this.
