my little helper

It's been a little over a month now since I finally discovered the joys of using a Crock-Pot. Since then, I have probably made fifteen recipes in the slow cooker... more than had been made in it since receiving it as a wedding gift six years ago... and it has become a great little activity now for Rilla and me to do together in the afternoons while Abraham is sleeping. She loves getting to sit on the counter to help me, and she is becoming more confident every day in her pouring and stirring abilities. I love it because we have dinner ready long before everyone (including me) is starving and cranky, and it means we can eat whenever Keith gets home, and it is a special little activity for me to share with my Rilla girl.

  1. Yes, crock pots are wonderful! Funny story- I kept wondering why you weren't blogging at all, and then I realized you have a new blog site, which I hadn't "followed" yet. Hah. Loving myself, sometimes.

  2. Awe, how great! I really need to get on the ball and get some crockpot menus going. The thing with the crockpot is that I can't decide to make something in it when it's already 5:00. :) Rilla is getting so big! I can't wait to see her this weekend!
